Gate Engineers

Job purpose: To install and maintain, gate and door automation and small access control systems.

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Hours: 08.00 – 17.00 with 1 hour for lunch. 40 hours per week. Overtime expected.

Key duties:
• To install and maintain gate and door automation and small access control systems to specified standards.
• Read job sheets, specification documents, site plans and attend project meetings (where relevant) and prepare all necessary equipment to complete jobs.
• Perform routine maintenance services.
• Liaise with customers to find out relevant information and keep them informed of job progress.
• On job completion, test system and train customers on its functions, supplying a manual where possible.
• Where required, solve practical problems and detect and repair system faults.
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements.
• Be part of a call out rota providing a 24 hour, 7 days a week engineering support service to specified sites.
• Participate in meetings with external site teams and within own company environment.
• Complete all paperwork (including time sheets and expenses) to specified standards and submit by stated deadlines.
• Keep the office team updated of job progress and provide them with technical support when required.
• Support colleagues through offering assistance and training when required.
• Consistently update own technical knowledge.
• Look after company vehicle according to specified standards.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Applicant requirements: Skills/abilities:
• Be able to demonstrate a logical approach to resolving technical scenarios.
• Use hand and electrical tools with competence.
• Good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with customers.
• Competent in fault finding/ repairs on auto door operators such as = Kaba, Dorma, Besam, I R, Record, BFT, SEA, etc.
• Able to work to the BS7036 regulations.

Knowledge:
• Must have knowledge of many of the latest automation systems.
• Must understand the principles of electrics and basic electronic circuits.
• BS7036 regulations.

Experience/qualifications:
• At least 3 years working with either gate automation or door control systems.
• Basic experience of computers.
• Hold a valid driving licence.
• Hold a valid CSCS card.
• Must pass a security vetting check.

Experienced Telesales Executive

Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £8.00/hour
Hours: 9.30 – 15:30, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (16.5 hours per week)

Job Description:
We are an expanding total security solutions company currently seeking a highly motivated and hungry business to business Telesales Executive to join their Manchester based team on a maternity cover basis.

Role:
This is an ideal opportunity for those with proven experience in business to business telemarketing. Candidates must have a passion for developing new business over the telephone, be proactive and have a consultative approach to promote the company's entire range of products and services to a regional client base. You will be committed to selling to businesses in a wide range of sectors and able to build relationships with existing and new clients to encourage client referrals and repeat business. You will be expected to achieve set targets and conversion rates and constantly aim to increase sales and revenue, whilst providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:
Due to the demands of the role all candidates must possess:
• Previous experience of working within fast paced business to business outbound telesales environments.
• You must be a results focused, motivated and, enthusiastic telesales professional with a "can do" attitude and a passion for sales.
• You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and will have a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Cold calling and lead generation ability.
• You will possess an excellent telephone manner with the ability to develop sustainable relationships.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and target driven and possess excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and, ideally, Sage ACT.

Fabricator/Welder

Fabricator/welder required for immediate start for Manchester based  security company, manufacturing all types of commercial and domestic gates, automated gate systems, railings, handrails, barriers, bollards and staircases.
Both in house and  site work will be involved and applicants must be fully conversant with marking out, mig welding and electrode welding. A clean driving license and CSCS card would be required.

Self-employed fence erectors needed for metal gate and railings installation in Greater Manchester

• Must have a valid CSCS card.
• Must have Catt scanning certificate.
• Must have previous groundwork experience.
• Must have own transport.
• Must have a driving licence.
• Must have own tools.

Duties will include all aspects of erecting and fitting a variety of fencing and associated products, including:

1) Align posts, using lines or by sighting and verify vertical alignment of posts, using plumb bobs or spirit levels and Lazar level.
2) Assemble gates and fasten gates into position, using hand tools.
3) Attach fence rail supports to posts, using hand tools.
4) Attach rails or tension wire along bottoms of posts to form fencing frames.
5) Complete top fence rails of metal fences by connecting tube sections, using metal sleeves.
6) Construct and repair barriers, retaining walls, trellises, and other types of fences, walls, and gates.
7) Dig postholes, using spades, posthole diggers, or power-driven augers.
8) Erect alternate panel, basket weave and louvered fences.
9) Establish the location for a fence and gather information needed to ensure that there are no electric cables or water lines in the area.
10) Insert metal tubing through rail supports.
11) Make rails for fences, by sawing lumber or by cutting metal tubing to required lengths.
12) Measure and lay out fence lines and mark posthole positions, following instructions, drawings, or specifications.
13) Mix and pour concrete around bases of posts, or tamp soil into postholes to embed posts.
14) Nail pointed slats to rails to construct picket fences.
15) Nail top and bottom rails to fence posts, or insert them in slots on posts.
16) Set metal or wooden posts in upright positions in postholes.
17) Stretch wire, wire mesh, or chain link fencing between posts and attach fencing to frames.
18) Weld metal parts together using portable welding equipment.
19) Discuss fencing needs with customers and estimate and quote prices.
20) Some ducting work (electrical).
